The Activity and Cyclic Catalysis of Synthesized Iron-Supported Zr/Ti Solid Acid Catalysts in Methyl Benzoate Compounds

The catalytic activity and cyclic catalysis of different methyl benzoates were studied by using a series Lewis solid acid catalysts. iron-supported zirconium/titanium catalysts characterized FTIR, SEM, XRD, BET. details verified that the catalyst catalyzed reactions 31 benzoic acids with substituents methanol. In addition, mechanism was revealed according to microstructure, strength, specific surface area catalysts, yields GC-MS. Zr ions had significant effects on catalyst. A certain proportion Fe Ti additionally enhanced catalyst, catalyst-specific composition Fe:Zr: = 2:1: 1 showing optimal activity. variety in benzene ring, such as electron-withdrawing group, electron-donating large steric hindrance, position group regular benzoates. An increase occurred owing increases number sites after ion added. remained unchanged facile recycling method performed.
